Obituary

Born December 6, 1979, in Tarzana, California, to Tara and Roger Whisman.

From an early age, Jeremy was known for his outgoing personality and his ability to make friends wherever he went. His playful, childlike spirit and sense of humor drew people to him.

He loved sports, playing many throughout his youth. He wasn't afraid to stand up for himself or others, facing challenges head-on and earning the respect of everyone around him. A natural handyman, Jeremy could fix or build almost anything, and if he didn't know how, he was determined to figure it out. He lived by the saying, "You have to work hard for the things you want," inspiring everyone around him with his perseverance and resourcefulness.

Jeremy completed his schooling in Ramstein, Germany, and shortly thereafter, proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served 21 honorable years. As an Avionics Craftsman, he supervised maintenance across multiple airframe career fields and earned the deep respect of his peers and leaders alike.

During his service, Jeremy earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Criminal Justice (2009) and an MBA in Business (2014) from Park University.

He was married to Socorro Whisman for 16 years, helping raise her son, Nason Archuleta. Later in life, he met Marra Whisman, and together they built a family with her daughters, Zoey and Emree, later welcoming two daughters of their own, Nora (2018) and Willow (2020). Jeremy cherished being a husband and father, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and devotion. His proudest life moments were the births of his baby girls, Nora and Willow, who brought him endless joy and purpose.

Known for his strength, loyalty, and radiant confidence, Jeremy also had a playful, goofy spirit that brought joy and laughter to everyone around him. Whether sharing rhymes, clever one-liners, or lighthearted moments, he reminded others to find joy in the little things. His kindness, wisdom, determination, and unwavering sense of duty touched countless lives, both within his family and beyond.

He is survived by his parents, Tara and Roger Whisman; his brother, Robin (Jen), and their son, Daniel; his sister, Jennifer (Rob), and their son, Steven; his wife, Marra; and his daughters, Zoey, Emree, Nora, and Willow.

Jeremy's legacy of love, laughter, and dedication will live on through his family and all who knew him.

A Memorial service will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at Utah Veterans Cemetery & Memorial Park, 17111 1700 W, Bluffdale, UT 84065.
