IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Debra Ann
Thackeray
January 20, 1958 – August 14, 2025
Our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Debra Ann Fenn Thackeray, age 67, left this mortal world on August 14, 2025—on her oldest daughter Roxanne's birthday.
Debra was born January 20, 1958, in Ogden, Utah, to her parents Orsen Allen Fenn and Linda Kay Johnson. From a young age, she carried with her the lessons of hard work and faith, often recalling her childhood memories of feeding animals and milking cows before school. She also cherished the example of her dear grandmother, Anna, whom she remembered as a woman of great strength and faith in God and Jesus Christ.
Debra carried that same faith throughout her life, always encouraging her children to pray and trust that God would provide. Her family will forever remember her saying: "Have faith—He will help you!"
She was a woman who loved simple joys: watching and recording movies on VHS tapes, capturing family moments on her camcorder, and sitting on the porch to enjoy the rumble of a summer thunderstorm. Watering the lawn brought her peace, and a bowl of ice cream every night brought her delight.
Debra loved concerts, reading, camping, and family vacations to Bear Lake. She had a big laugh, a big heart, and a passion for life that made her unforgettable. She was funny, vibrant, and always found joy in spending time with those she loved most.
Above all, she was a devoted mother. Her children always knew how deeply she loved them, as she consistently sacrificed for their needs before her own. They never went without, because of her care and determination.
Her family's love for her extends through all of the galaxies and for time and all eternity.
Debra is survived by her loving husband, Jody William Thackeray; her children, Joseph Andrew Vigil, Rebecca LeAnn Vigil, Desiree Star Thackeray, Sunshine Raedella Thackeray, and Cody Mickiah Skyler Thackeray; and seven treasured grandchildren—Paxon Lee Schen, Jenna Leeann Schen, Adam Joseph Andrew Vigil, Logan Christopher Vigil, Kaden Lee Vigil, Erika Shine Sanchez, and Victoria Joleeann Perez. She is also survived by her loving mother and siblings; Linda Kay Johnson Fenn, and Della, Delana, Donna, Deon, Dina, David, and Derrick Fenn!
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Anna Flora Mynhier; her father, Orsen Allen Fenn; her daughter, Roxanne Lee Vigil; her brother, Darin Scott Fenn; and her sister, Dana Cherie Fenn.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 25, at 2:00 PM, with a celebration of life to follow.
Debra was true to the very end. She will be remembered always for her faith, her laughter, her love of family, and her generous spirit.
