IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Arthur
Carmichael
September 15, 1956 – November 18, 2025
Arthur Allen Carmichael, known to friends and family as Art, left the stage of life with the same grace and humor with which he lived, on November 18, 2025, in Roy, Utah. Born in the sunny town of Brawley, California, on September 15, 1956, he quickly became known as the life of any party and the budding comedian of the Carmichael family.
Art's early years were filled with the sounds of The Beatles, the crack of baseball bats, and the strumming of his guitar. He carried the rhythm of his favorite tunes into every aspect of his life, infusing laughter and music into the hearts of those around him. His siblings, brother Ted Carmichael, and sisters Debbie Early and Coantha Smith, often found themselves both the audience and the inspiration for Art's playfulness. And let's not forget his nephew Tony Carmichael, who could always count on Uncle Art for a funny jokes and bringing laughter to his life.
A master roofer, Art climbed more than just ladders; he ascended to the peak of his profession. His hands, as skilled with a hammer as they were with a guitar pick, were the tools of a true craftsman.
As a younger man, Art played baseball, he was funny, thoughtful, and gentle—these words paint a picture of a man who was as kind as he was humorous.
Art's love for The Beatles was more than just a musical preference; it was a philosophy. He believed in the power of love, the importance of coming together, and that in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make. His rendition of "Hey Jude" was not just a party trick but a reminder to take a sad song and make it better.
Arthur "Art" Carmichael's curtain call may have come too soon, but the encore of his memory will play on in the hearts of all who knew him. His legacy is not one of sorrow but of laughter and love. Rest in peace, Art; your final bow was as brilliant as your life.
